This is a cover of Otis Redding's, Champagne & Wine. Jack Petruzzelli is the player. Both the album review, album credits and 3 of my friends insist this is a slide guitar.

It sure sounds like a pedal steel to me. My guess is I'm wrong but curious if others have an opinion.

Sure sounds like pedal steel to my ears. I guess these days they can make any sound that can be imagined in the studio with the effects available to use.

It sounds like a regular slide guitar. It's subtle and reserved for the most part and early on I was thinking it might be an organ, but as the song went on you can hear the strings. Both can do it, but the steel has a rocking roll from the steel that isn't there or just an aspect unpronounced. Ya just have to read the credits with the disc paperwork unless your a DL'er. I am an old school, hard copy, kinda guy. I love to read the tidbits off the album or CD.

It is a soft tune but nice, but it had 6 likes and 1 dislike? I always laugh at the negative nancy's that felt better knowing they trashed on something that is just a glimmer from an artists eye (ear).

Thanks for feedback.

I appreciate it. Ripped it from the library but am going to check it out again but there is a good chance specific instruments are not listed for individual songs. This studio player (Jack Petruzzelli) plays 6 or 7 instruments based on what I found on him including slide and pedal steel.

I also like the song. Very worth putting on a playlist.

This is a live video from the album release party. That guitar player Jack Petruzelli is listed as being the guy in the video, standing behind the keyboard player. You can't really see him well but it looks like he is playing some slide.

I checked the credits on AMG.

There is no pedal steel credited on the album.
