First date just popped up on the Dutch ticketmaster website: 3rd of may at the Boerderij in Zoetermeer, Netherlands. There's a big blues and roots music festival in Ospel, Netherlands which i started attending since 1988 which is held on the 1st and 2nd of may so i keep by fingers crossed they have booked Gov't Mule for this fantastic festival (Devon Allman Band already confirmed).

Waiting for a London date ... having missed them last year due to being away on vacation, I am keeping the whole of May free in my diary this year ...

Yeah, i missed them last year too. Also due to a vacation and visiting a lengthy rock festival. Choices, choices.
Was their first European Tour since 2005 that i missed seeing them. Still have nightmares about that.
Definitely do not want to miss them this year. They are really on a roll with all these fantastic releases celebrating their 20th anniversary which might result in even more unpredictable setlists then usual. And i really digged "Shout!" as well. I preferably wanna catch them twice this year.

Thanks for the info Roger ... I assume that the on sale date of 3/2 in US format being March 2nd (not UK format of 3rd Feb = today) as I just checked Shepherds Bush website and there is no mention yet ... will keep checking as I have priority booking for that venue ...

btw ... May 25 is a Monday and is a Public Holiday over here ... kids are off school that week so unfortunately hotel prices may be a bit higher than normal ... but I don't care ... gonna get me some Mule!

Thanks Gordon ... I will keep that in mind ... a lot depends on whether Jan decides to combine this with a visit to see my sons in Reading for the weekend ... whatever happens it will be great to meet up with you and the guys again ... as much as I love my retired life in Norfolk, I do miss the London gigs ...

btw ... come up and see us some time when the weather gets a bit warmer ...

Just managed to book a room at the Grantly Hotel opposite the venue. Can only book train tickets no more than 3 months in advance, so will purchase my gig ticket on Friday. Now all I have to do is blag 2 days off work. See you all there guys.

Happy that you guys are getting shows.

I am even more thrilled that the Mule may actually be over here for some summer dates and festivals. They have been doing the Europe summer gigs for a few years now.

What have you heard and/or where have you heard that they will be in Canada? Other than Fredericton I don't think they've been here since 09. I saw them at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in 09.

It occurred to me that the Mule has been on a bit of a trek across London venues!

I remember seeing them at the Mean Fiddler, Forum, Under The Bridge, Brooklyn Bowl and now the Shepherds Bush Empire.

I'm surprised as I thought they were quite a good fit at the Brooklyn Bowl last year and the SBE is unlikely to sell out. Warren played there before with the WHB and it was a very thin crowd.

You would have thought that they would have found a venue which suited them and stuck with it (allowing for the Mean Fiddler having long since closed). I don't expect things work like that though with promoters in the loop.

The problem with the Brooklyn Bowl for me is the location ... the O2 is a pain to get to ... particularly for out of towners ... you either have to leave early to get the last train home or drive through central London to get there ... Shepherds Bush is a bit more accessible and I hope that the Mule can at least fill the ground floor and level 1 ...

Would you believe it, I retire soon from work and have treated Alison and myself to a four week road trip across the American South and will be flying back from Phoenix on the 25th. The upside though is I ll finally get to visit Macon. Next time guys I promise

I still have my fingers crossed they might add a date in the north of England the day before S Bush as I fly out to a wedding in Spain on Tue morning.

I noticed that ONEILLS Irish Pub is no longer on the corner next to the Empire, it has been replaced by the Sindercome Social. Are we still gonna meet up in there on the afternoon, or choose somewhere else.
