I was at this fantastic Gallagher show back in '89 (Bluesrock Festival Tegelen, Netherlands). Pfffffffwwww, almost 25 years ago. Gallagher and band were in fine form and it was a high energy show. Accept for the great music we had a great laugh when the "security" tried to get those fans out of that pond in front of the stage (now long gone). At the end there was only one fan left and they tried to jerk him out of the water without getting wet themselves. Finally he gave in and they started to escort him away from to pond (crowd was applauding him) then he came to his senses and started a chat with the security but suddenly pulled himself loose and ran back down the stairs and dived right back into the pond (crowd went apeshit!). Rory had a good laugh too but earlier on it kinda looked like the fan tried to reach Rory's guitar (which he pointed downwards across the edge of the stage) and grab it. Those were the days......
