All i can say is.......Wow! But bummer, it looks like a US release. Getting this as an import in Europe will probably be very pricey. I really like the 2 CRB cds from 2012. i hope they will do a European tour in 2014
(which is being rumoured!)

"Chris Robinson Brotherhood
to Release 'Betty's S.F. Blends, Volume One,'
a Limited Edition Live Quadruple Album
Exclusively on Vinyl Tuesday, November 26 in Time for Black Friday

Recorded over Five Nights in San Francisco by Iconic Grateful Dead Producer & Sound Engineer Betty Cantor-Jackson

Known for their free-flowing and eclectic live shows, the CHRIS ROBINSON BROTHERHOOD will release BETTY'S S.F. BLENDS, VOLUME ONE (Silver Arrow/Megaforce), a limited edition quadruple album exclusively on vinyl on Tuesday, November 26, just in time for Black Friday (11/29). The vinyl box set was curated by Grateful Dead producer and engineer Betty Cantor-Jackson, who assembled what she felt were the best moments of the band's epic five shows at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall in December 2012.

BETTY'S S.F. BLENDS consists of 19 tracks including live versions of songs from their two albums released in 2012: Big Moon Ritual and The Magic Door. There are also songs the band hasn't released on albums before; two songs from Robinson's 2004 This Magnificent Distance album; and a treasure trove of cover songs.

"We feel super blessed to have Betty's cosmic ears and prolific talents," says Chris Robinson. "We're honored and inspired that Betty chose our farm to table psychedelic hayride as a vehicle to continue her amazing sonic work."

"This was fun as hell. They're the first band that has really moved me since Jerry [Garcia] passed," says Betty Cantor-Jackson, who recorded, engineered, produced and mixed BETTY'S S.F. BLENDS, VOLUME ONE. "I met them at a benefit show and we became friends, and I started recording their shows whenever they'd come around, and last year they asked me to do it for real. They're great guys with wonderful music…I love the songs, the lyrics and they have lots of interesting changes in the songs, so it keeps you interested." Cantor-Jackson whittled down the 96 songs the CHRIS ROBINSON BROTHERHOOD performed over the five nights to just nine to fit the vinyl format. "That was a big challenge," she admits. "With CDs, you can just put out whatever you want and as long as you want. Knowing I had finite space on a vinyl record, I focused first on the performances, then on time length and tempo, and of course you want to leave the listener wanting more."

The CHRIS ROBINSON BROTHERHOOD is Chris Robinson (lead vocals, guitar), Neal Casal (guitar, vocals), Adam MacDougall (keys, vocals), George Sluppick (drums) and Mark Dutton (bass, vocals). The California-based group toured heavily in 2011 and 2012 and released two albums last year: BIG MOON RITUAL (June) and a companion album THE MAGIC DOOR (September).

Just as Betty has curated the best of the five-night run, resident artist extraordinaire Alan Forbes, has also contributed a beautiful Victorian tea tin-inspired package that includes 4 pieces of vinyl, a mini poster of one of the five nights, and a 12-page booklet mostly photographed by guitarist Neal Casal. The set also includes liner notes by Ethan Miller, friend of the Brotherhood and monster guitarist from the Bay Area band Howlin' Rain.

Other than the vinyl, the shows will be available--in their entirety only--as the first digital-only download from Silver Arrow Records, exclusively through Amazon. These shows will be released simultaneously with the vinyl configuration.

Here is the track listing for BETTY'S S.F. BLENDS:

Disc 1

Side A: Crash on the Levee, Star or Stone

Side B: Do Right Woman, Badlands Here We Come, Tornado

Disc 2

Side A: Try Rock & Roll, Jump the Turnstile, Someday Past the Sunset

After the overwhelming replies to my original post here's an update:

Received it today from Amazon UK (damn fast!). Beautiful and very psychedelic (duh!) quadruple gatefold sleeve but also rather fragile (especially while trying to get vinyl discs 3 and 4 from their sleeve pockets). Kinda easy to damage the cover not the vinyl itself. Nice 12" by 12" photo booklet too! But the replica event poster is very very small (even small for a handbill). All 4 discs have a red and white kinda tie-dyed / marble effect. No slip cover like the recent European 4LP "Shout!" set from Mule had with 2 separate double albums but more like the TTB's "Everybody's Talkin'" release but with a 4th gatefold panel (or whatever it's called). Now, i have to find time to give it a propper spin!!!

Too bad that it's only a vinyl release, I'd love to give it a listen.

Also received my copy yesterday, and fully agree with everything Dutch has said, really nice item, but a little awkward and fragile. Only listened to three sides so far, and currently of the opinion that a) the sound is pretty good b) Neal Casal isn't quite the guitarist he appears on the studio recordings c) Badlands Here We Come needs to be on their next album, excellent tune d) there really should have been a download code to grab these tracks digitally rather than buying them again from the Amazon mp3 store.

Hope the CRB tour England /Europe next year!

You can't buy them from the Amazon mp3 store. If so, I'd already have them. I checked the US and UK Amazon stores and unfortunately this is a vinyl only release.

All the December 2012 shows from the Great American Music Hall in SF will be released digitally via Amazon. I checked a day or two ago and the 15/12 show was available, however, it has since been removed because the last four tracks where just duplicates of the opening track. I assume that once this error has been corrected they will be available again very soon.

Here is the info from the bands original press blurb, mentioning the digital availability.

I'm not sure these are 100% available to purchase, as there have clearly been problems, but the 14/12 show is up again for download.

Same show also available on.com

I won't download it right now. The last four sample songs on Amazon's page are the same song over and over again.

Looks like all 5 nights are now up for download, and they appear to have been fixed. All are album only though unfortunately, so no cherry picking certain tracks.

As of right now the Dec. 15th show is still downloading with the tracks from Dec. 11th.

I don't think that has been fixed yet.
