Got video of all 3 songs that Dickie played with The Tedeschi-Trucks Band tonight. Here's Blue Sky, and I have Liz Reed and the Sky Is Crying to come.

Wot - no bombast?!!!

Great to see and will be often viewed in years to come. "Remember when a member of the ABB shared the stage at the Beacon with Dickey Betts?"

Top marks to Derek and Dickey!

That was great. I'm still pretty much speechless about this. Glad it happened and wish TTB sold official recordings of their shows.

That was SWEET!!! Great solos by both. Nice to see 2 SG's out there.

Dickeys voice sounds in fine form to me. Good to hear him sing that, nice choice.

So was Dickey in town doing a show also?

Mutual respect, eh?

Well, Dickey's playing sounds great, that's first and foremost, but still looks like Dickey has a bit of an issue remembering he needs to share.

Looks like he and Susan were suppose to be swapping lines, but muscle memory kicked in for Betts.

Anyhow, good on Derek and Susan to give Betts a moment in the spotlight at their gig.

Well, THAT was special!
How long has it been since the Beacon has heard that sweet tone?

Dickey's playing as well as his vocals sound better on this than I have heard him sound in quite some time. Pleasantly surprised! What a treat for the TTB audience at the Beacon. They did have to slow down the tempo a bit but it still sounded great! Passionate vocals. If Dickey could deliver to this level consistently every night I would go see Great Southern every time they come around. Dickey looks clean and serine in this performance.

It ~was~ sweet wasn't it.. in fact it was in 2006 ( maybe 2007 ) I'm old and can't remember dates like I used too..but anyway DBGS played the Beacon then and it was terrific.. I was in row 6 .. Wish I were there last night..
