I don't know. Maybe Trump's lawyer was paying off the porn star on behalf of Obama.

3 points

1. If she ended up with Trump him in a physical way, that was something private between them. Why does it need to come out now? The disclosure only hurts his wife.

2. She has denied it recently and the account in the media stories sounds like something the CIA would make up.

3. The Wall Street Journal had a very detailed article last week with details about the alleged money transfer. What I will say is this. IF he gave her money, it could have been for anything, such as perhaps she needed money for something in her personal life, to help a sick relative, or re-pay a loan or something. People should not assume it was for hush money IF indeed this happened.

4. There was an article in the NY Post with pictures of her with other celebrities, she has been somewhat of a socialite hob knobbing with other celebrity people; therefore she has been successful in her own right, she probably would not have even needed money from Trump.

Bottom line, IF it happened, it was not an ongoing affair, it would have been a brief encounter or two. I don't think people should make a big deal about it; but remember I told you the Democrats intended to bring out 8 women in January who would reportedly claim they had sex with Trump just to raise some sort of ethics probe on him. This could be the pre-lude to that.

Of course she denied it. That's what she was paid to do. That's why it's called hush money. Duh!

And it doesn't matter if somebody has money already or not. All rich people have lot's of money, but that doesn't keep them from wanting more. Why do you think a bunch of billionaires paid off congress to give them massive tax breaks? Almost all rich people take every advantage to become more rich. That's how it works.

Does it matter? We already know Trump is a slime ball, so of all the things he's slimy for, this is way down near the bottom of the list.

There was a time when something like this would kill a political career, especially a Republican one. But the moral majority and family values party is a thing of the past, and it seems morals don't matter to conservatives anymore. As Trump said, he could shoot somebody in the middle of the street in NY City and it wouldn't cost him any voters. He was more right than I could have ever imagined. Trump supporters are like a cult, and he can do nothing wrong in their eyes.

1. His lawyer paid her to keep quiet about it (Wouldn't your premise also pertain to Bill Clinton?)

2. Non disclosure agreements ($$$) are what that gets you. (CIA tapping your shoes now?)

3. Porn actresses ask real estate people for money all the time, especially if they are just innocent, casual acquaintances.

4. I've had pictures with Warren Haynes, Dickey Betts, Devon Allman, Butch Trucks. I hardly "hob nob" with them although Devon and I exchanged numerous messages through the run of LOST on ABC. None of that shows I'm "successful in my own right" and probably didn't need money from them. WTF?

5. You are a joke.

6. Your three points turned out to be four.

Sour grapes

BoytonBrother - 1/18/2018 at 07:06 PM

And he told her that she reminded him of his daughter. Thatís the 2nd time he has mentioned a sexual attraction to his daughter.

BrerRabbit - 1/18/2018 at 07:17 PM

Why would she remind him of his daughter? I'd think if someone brought up the subject of your kids and married life while you were cheating it would put the kabosh on the frisson. "Ooh aahh, mm, oh, by the way, just wanted to remind you, you have a daughter."

Huh? The report is he told her she reminded him of his daughter because he is a sick f not that she reminded him that he had a daughter.

BrerRabbit - 1/18/2018 at 10:24 PM

ok. Maybe so, still, if he had to tell her that she reminded him, then her memory isn't fit for evidence, if she couldn't recall reminding him of his daughter since she had to be told that's what she did.

You'd think that that those who constantly claim the moral high ground, espouse family values and believe that they are better than everyone else because they are conservative...they might care.

Guess not.

Chain - 1/18/2018 at 10:47 PM

I can't recall what program it was I caught the other night but they showed clips of Ralph Reed and the fossil holier than thou founder of the "700 Hundred Club" Pat Robertson making speeches during the Clinton scandal about what shame Bill had brought on the presidency. Two of Trump's biggest religious right supporters and obviously two of the biggest hypocrites on the subject of infidelity vis a vis the presidency.

It was comical watching these two preach like the world was going to end if we didn't impeach slick Willy....Seriously, I damn near choked on my popcorn watching the "fire and brimstone" garbage these two opportunist were laying on their bewildered flocks of sheep....

Look back no further than last month to Trump & the thousands of moral purists who supported for & voted for Roy Moore. They would seem to fit quite well into the moral high ground of hypocrites.

That's precisely the point. Men of a certain generation (I'm guessing you're over 50) think it's funny and it's not. It's out of touch with the current climate of what men can say to women. The first thing all these guys from #metoo say is "it was a joke." Women aren't laughing.

nebish - 1/19/2018 at 04:02 AM

Is there a sex tape?

I suppose the biggest concern is that he could be subject to blackmail, as with some of the other concerns dating back to the election.

But I don't care who people want to **** . Didn't care about Clinton getting his dick sucked in the WH either. People cheat, happens to alot of people - some get caught, some don't. I don't cheat, but I don't care if other people want to, that is there problem to work out among their own partners/spouse/family.

I used to have a thing for chics in porn. Almost 20 years ago, my girlfriend (now my wife) contacted Vivid Video and had this girl Lexus autograph a t-shirt for me. I hangs in my shop. I woulnd't cheat on my wife with her, or anyone else, but I enjoyed watching her on TV! I remember writing Ginger Lynn when I was in middle school. Eye opener for my parents when I hung that in my room! She sent me an autographed 8x10. Still have that in the shop as well. I don't watch porn anymore. Kind of grew out of it I guess. That stuff got weird, the stuff they do now, some of it is centered around shock-value and how outrageous they can be, it's just pretty over the top.

This is overblown. It would be a valid complaint if there were some abuse or harrassment involved. It's just a dumb joke about a dumb story about a dumb president boffing a dumb bimbo.

That's what the 71+ #metoo guys said, too. The woman is "oversensitive." The situation is "overblown." "Dumb jokes" are part of the sexual harassment/hostile environment laws that are being enforced and publicized.

The whole point of the #metoo movement is to get men to think before they say or write something sexual.

WAKE UP.

BrerRabbit - 1/19/2018 at 06:09 PM

Wide awake, thanks. Raised by pioneering feminists grandmother and mother, thanks. Leaders in the ERA push. Am stronger supporter of feminism than anyone I know, thanks.

A tawdry little he said she said dirty little sexual affair between idiots hardly warrants a line in tbe sand for a women's rights showdown, sorry.

Your point is good, just misplaced in this instance.

e.g. If that quip had been made re the Roy Moore thing I would be right with you on the attack.

You brought up an important diecussion angle though, glad to see it, rare around here for sure.

cyclone88 - 1/19/2018 at 06:38 PM

Last I looked, any of us could post what we want in a topic.

For a card-carrying feminist, you're missing the bigger picture that its the insidious little stuff that men get away with for too long that leads them to think they can get away with bigger and bigger stuff. Those 71+ guys made a lot of "dumb jokes," "good-natured groping (GHW Bush), and "Guys do that" before they moved on to harassment, assault, and rape. It's now 2018 and #metoo should be making men think twice before speaking and women should think twice about what's being said or done to them.

I saw an opportunity to speak up on the forum & I did.

BrerRabbit - 1/19/2018 at 06:55 PM

Me too. Just posting, don't know how you got the idea I think you shouldn't say whatever. Your back is up man, smooth the hackles. Just turns every conversation into a fight.

Yes am a card carrying feminist - and looking at the big picture. Big enough picture to discern when a comment is genuinely sexist. To put a muffler on all off-color humor isn't feminism, it is puritanical.

Maybe your reference that my comment was good just misplaced - you'd back me if it had been brought up in the context of Roy Moore. Otherwise, I was off-target. Now, I'm puritanical.

As to the rest, the original poster didn't say another poster was sexy as in your GIF. He said she was jealous that she hadn't been the one having sex w/Mr. Trump, implying her comments should be dismissed because of this bias. I pointed out this is exactly how #metoo starts - men undermining women by creating a sexual reference when there was none.

I'm not muffling anyone. Sexual harassment definitions date back to 1964 and I didn't write them. Neither of us gets to determine what is a genuinely sexist comment. That's the job of the judge/jury evaluating a sexual harassment case or the lawyers arguing over how much the speaker should pay in exchange for silence or the HR administrator evaluating a hostile environment complaint.

I'm a prosecutor who knows red flags when he sees them. Just keep backing each other that the woman and the lawyer or HR person she goes to is oversensitive & puritanical & has overblown the situation. Wink & Nudge. Never consider there's an iota of poor judgment on the part of the speaker.

That's it for me.

None of that means I think you should't post whatever you feel like. I.post whatever I want to, doesn't bug me when folks rip on me at all.

Back to the thing...ok mr. prosecutor help me out then. What was the situation? Not really seeing where the big deal is. Was anyone abused, harrassed, slandered, exploited? Where's the offense, other than the subjective ethical stuff of that weird daughter thing or sex outside marriage?

I didn't read the "jealous" line as implying anything negative on her at all. If anything it gives her credit for success in her chosen profession, which is promoting her own desirability, which a lot of uptight folks would denigrate.

We all see what we need to see I guess.

Gotta stick with the "lighten up" on this one. You can't even eke out a chuckle for Spinal Tap or Monty Python you got your own personal raincloud.

We're not talking about the same thing. A poster tried to shut down a poster by saying she was jealous that she wasn't the one having sex w/Trump.

I said that comment was exactly what the #metoo movement was about - dismissing a woman's opinion by injecting sex into it via a stupid joke. It's the kind of mindset that is under scrutiny right now. That's it. That's my only point. Read what I said to the poster.

I don't know anything about ethical stuff, weird daughters, sex outside marriage, Spinal Tap, or Monty Python. It's hardly news that Trump is a womanizer as were many presidents before him.

And here I thought you said I raised a good point in the wrong forum...

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the "jealous" line was referring to being jealous because we didn't get to boff a porn star. Which is actually not an enviable thing if you are concerned about STDs and such.

That would be a question for the poster.

I've lost interest.

BrerRabbit - 1/20/2018 at 12:30 AM

Too bad, as the issues you raised are very worth discussing , which I said in my initial reply. I never said anything like you "posted in tbe wrong forum". For a prosecutor, someone who has to listen to people's bs all day, you seem a bit volatile and unwilling to parry.

btw I totally agree that the good ol boy sex stuff is beyond gross and deserves to be classified on the same level as hate crime.

That makes it all the more important that we not go off on every little remark, but weigh everything in context, before we start dropping the hammer.

Jealous of what? That she might have had sex with Trump? I like his personality, but I am not physically attracted to him. I think he is a great American, a successful businessman, and I know I saw him recite poetry in a you tube video, which shows a side of him most people are unaware of. He is very smart, passionate, and romantic. He's been harassed and persecuted since he started running for President, and the dissidents continue to try to ruin him. His perseverance is admirable and will become legendary as he will not let any of this cheap circus sideshow distract him from his mission, to Make America Great Again.

BrerRabbit - 1/20/2018 at 12:50 AM

I am quite level headed. What I saw in reading the thread was an anomaly. "Gina" was getting a lot of comments and criticism on her post. ALL of the responses were on the substance of her comment - some were even jocular - save one. I pointed that out. It was the stuff of the #metoo that comes across my desk AND of which men should be aware.

I appreciated your early thoughts. However, I don't think this thread or even this forum is the place where a legit discussion of this topic can take place.

gina - 1/20/2018 at 01:18 AM

There are people in the government and outside of it also who want to destroy Trump. This is a tabloid story published today of an alleged interview that Ms. Daniels (her stage name) supposedly did. I think it is one big made up lie but I also think it is important to know this BIG LIE certain entities seem to be pushing about Trump.

http://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/stormy-daniels-full-interview-151788

And they even try to drag Ben Rothlisberger into it that he was accompanying her back to her room, and Trump's Security Man was helping her slip away with him. So what is the goal here? Get his wife to want to divorce him, create mistrust between him and his former Security Man? They want to separate him from the people who know and have been loyal to him. This is like the ultimate Democrat created psy-op.

He needs nobody to assist there. He is a one man wrecking crew. The same guy you hold up as something special has the lowest prez rating in history in year 1. He is taking the GOP down one block at a time, dividing the USA more so than all those who accused Obama of this, and has pissed off countries formerly known as our allies.

Gina, come November 2018 you will see first hand the damage he has done to the GOP. If the GOP loses the House & Senate, Trump's policies will flip from being a Repub to a Dem. All he cares about is wins versus losses & in his media perception. The policies to get there are insignificant to him.

Do you really believe he is a true conservative? No, he is an opportunist. Anything that makes him look good makes him happy.

I don't know what her schtick is. I do think it is possible he met her at any of the social events he attended, beyond that I do not believe the story from what has been attributable to her as interviews and disclosures.

As far as conspiracy, I do think there is one by the group that has sought to take him out of power and will use any trick in the book and even some that aren't if someone comes up with a plan they think will cause him trouble, investigations etc. I don't know that the regular conspiracy against him (which began even before he took office) is related to this event. It could be two separate things.

It could even be that they want to discredit and destroy her because she refused to go against him, so they figure they will exploit and expose the two of them. All that we know is that she was an adult film star, WAS past tense. She said she has a husband and a new life now. So, somebody is stirring the pot of a flame that stopped heating things up a long time ago. The allegation is an affair in 2006, this is 2018, twelve years later. How likely is it that something like that just happens to come out now? Seems more likely there is a conspiracy.
