Dan lives down here in Bradenton Fl. and a few years back his brother Frankie was living here also. I will always remember thoes nights when they would put together a band quick and go down to the Ancher Inn in Bradenton Beach and play all night and there would be only 5or 6 people in the room and they played like there were thousands screaming and dancing when it was just me and a few other happy people.

04-04-98, lyric theater, stuart, fl, great show, blues, mostly ABB, at the sign and bullshit in the lobby afterwards i asked why you did not ask gary stewart, to sit in with the band. either you or d.b. have writing credits for Shady streets and shiny shoes. maybe right song and wrong title. if with d.b. and great southern in palm beach with phil and bobby introduce the king of the honky tonkers to a whole new generation..... chateau21@earthlink.net

Hey man, I just wanted to let you know, I usually throw in "I'm no Angel" about once a week..."yours for the askin", "the way things might have been," and "faces without names" are my favs. When I pulled out the credits, I noticed you co-wrote those as well as playing the songs on the record.. Those songs are so well arranged and written..."yours for the askin'" is such a great song.....the vocals are really very hard to sing..Gregg can do wonders. Thanks for the great music. Any other recorded work of yours that I can enjoy?

I'm really happy to see Dan playing with the Dickey Betts band. I hope to see them when they come to the SF Bay Area. The Sacramento concert was cancelled this year, unfortunately. Dan's playing is sort of a mixture of southern rock and fusion.

In 2001 I first contacted Dan via internet. I had never met Him before or even spoken to him, and to my surprise He responded to my E-mail like an old time friend.................In June 2002 I had the privilige to met Dan at A Dickey concert in Chatanooga......I noticed Him as soon as He stepped of thebus and shouted for him to walk over...I told Him who I was and He remembered me immediately, and greeted me with a hug ......He gave Me one of his guitar picks and then got Dickey to come over and give me one of his........Dan is a great musician and a great person.............He has kept in contact with Me via E-mail...........I consider Him one of the top players on the scene today.......
but most of all I consider Him a FRIEND
