An Act of God.
Duane Allman Les Paul Reissue #29 (what a number to get!)..the guitar don't just sit there...I play it! In the case along with guitar is #4 of the Duane Allman reissue Guitar Strap made by Zebo. In front of that is an original slide of Duane Allman I got from Red Dog, with COA.
An Original Proof of a famous Picture of Duane wearing his Concert Tux...The Layla Shirt...Given by Eric Clapton.
Top right is a Picture dubbed

Duane Allman and Eric Clapton's first electric Guitars..aptly named I'd say. And Top Center, the Crown Jewel..The Collar of the Layla Shirt. Enjoy the Picture!

HaisijaMore beautiful than a plate full fo french fries smothered in brown gravy.
finskyMan, must be nice to go home to this thing, huh? Very nice!
tomhoudekWow!! Did you get the collar from Kathy??
SkyPuppyHey..sorry folks, I forgot I even posted this, and i apoligize for not responding sooner, Yes, I did get the collar from Kathy, to answer the question. I never get tired of looking at and playing this guitar. As a fan, I'm worthy of it...as a play
LesPaulStandardLoverIs this a Gibson reissue of the 1959 Les Paul Standard Desert Burst that Duane played in 1971 Fillmore East concerts?
SkyPuppyLPSL, this is one of the 55 Reissues Gibson put out, but I never heard it called Desert burst. It is from the guitar Duane used to close the Fillmore in June '71, not from the March shows when the Album was recorded..that was his cherry burst.
LesPaulStandardLoverI think I remember Duane playing 'Hotlanta' in the last ABB gigs at Atlanta Municipal Auditorium on July 17, 1971. He played his SG some as well. I was at both shows.
drobynMy heart just skipped a beat. I bought my son a Les Paul for Christmas. Have a feeling we're not going to stop at one
skyponydogboyDayyumm! That is sweet...hell. I'd never go to work..stay home all day and play this guitar.
horacegammetI just always heard the finish on that guitar referred to as a tobacco sunburst. Wether that's the official Gibson name for the finish, I don't know.
ladygood24Hello, My name is happiness. Your profile caught my attention and I think of having a serious love relationship with you. If you are interested and intends to advance, contact me through email; happinessdiop@hotmail.com. I shall send my beautiful picture
LIBobI'm not sure if this is in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame or the Allman's Big House Museum but I Have to visit them both someday. It's just amazing!!! I Actually want to get that particular picture of Duane tattooed on my ribs. IAbout his guitars, It appears
LIBobthat the '59 reissue was a vintage sunburst with a maple flametop. The LP that he traded his goldtop for & played at the Fillmore concerts appears to have been a heritage cherry sunburst with a maple plaintop but could very well have been a desertburst.
LIBobWhat it all comes down to is the Man who played those guitars!!! Duane was an unbelievable guitarist! I Never get tired of listening to his playing & Never will!!!!
