dibbityi'm not so sure it's a bottle neck slide. the end looks closed off to me, probably an old medicine bottle, or something of the sort.

jamman005i too play guitar. i have one. it is a bottleneck slide
tsrocksOK boys get your history right., It's a Coricedan(?) bottle (cold medicine). Also they used to serve cream in little bottles in resturants in Macon. Duane used both because they had closed ends. Look how small his ring finger is.

mobro55 I used to take Coricedin. Wish the hell I'd saved a few of them. It really worked on colds. They do sell "Duane Allman" coricedin slides in some guitar shops. I bought one a few years back. Too bad they don't still have the "snap-on" plastic lids with th

JazzBass just an anaglesic but Duane liked the bottles..not a thick glass at all. This is the picture Guitar Player magazine used for the 1982 duane cover/memorial issue.
XOSweetPeachOXGeeze...lol...okay...doesn't everyone know that Duane's preference was the Coricedin D cold medicine bottles? Anyway guys, whatever the damn thing is on his finger here....its a great shot!
OzzieboyTruly, another great example of playing down and dirty like we know Duane could do and we all loved him for it "Keep on Rockin' "
PeterNelsonSpelled "Coricidin D." The October 1981 =Guitar Player= "Special Issue: Duane Allman" had a similar shot (not this one) more from the left (or Duane turned to his left), and Duane more smiling with that pick in his mouth.
ILABBWhy did he have to ride that motorcycle?!
