Never seen them but I would like to. They've sold out two shows here in Chicago and had to add a third. I thought they played with Mule before but I could be wrong.

I had never seen TOP before either so I made it a point to catch them last summer at The San Mateo Fair here in the Bay area. TOP of course is a Bay area band.

To be quite honest with you, I was bored to tears. I know there have been a lot of different incarnations of this band, if I'm not mistaken they go back to the 60's. And some people here in the Bay area just swear by them, they've got an extremely loyal following. Maybe it was an off night, I don't know, but they just didn't do it for me. Based on that night, there are plenty of other funk bands here in Bay area playing clubs that I'd go see before I bothered to catch TOP again.

I heard bassist Rocco Prestia just had a successful kidney transplant, he had a liver transplant some years ago.
