I know how you feel about our Prez, no need to pursue this, I should've known better to post to begin with.

You have no idea how I feel about the President, but nice to see you've already decided what that is.

Oh this is why you chose him over the 17 other Republican nominees? For a minute, I thought the admiration stemmed from his willingness to disparage people you might not like. My bad.

Speaking of choices, whose idea was it to assign the democratic rebuttle to someone so insignificant in this moment in time?

If you think a well-respected former Governor with decades of public service is insignificant, I have news about you Goobs

But I think you know the answer to your question. It was about the message, not the messenger, and it needed to come from a veteran head of state and not Corey Booker or Al Franken, which probably would have distracted.

But again, I know the news you are used to watching concentrates on the presentation, but it's important to hear what people actually say.

Don't we all make judgements and form opinion about how other forum members feel about a certain topic based on what they post? So isn't it reasonable for one member here to form an opinion how you feel about the President based reading any posts you've made related to the topic? To say that somebody has "no idea" how you feel implies that either you have never posted commentary on the President before, the other member in question has never read any of your posts, or an incorrect conclusion has been reached. If you feel you are being mischaracterized why not clarify or correct?

Brian Williams in MSNBC's post speech coverage questioned Schumer on why somebody more central to the effort to resist or offer alternatives to Trump's agenda not give the rebuttal. Was that the news outlet of choice you believed goober was listening to?

Pick one. Any news network. The major networks tend to focus on presentation over content in an effort to appear objective. During the campaigns, they focus on the horse race not necessarily the message and how effective candidates' messages resonate with voters. It can be interesting, as political science, but it's not terribly informative. After Trum's speech, rather than commenting on the content, many of the TV news readers were quick to comment on how Trump looked more "Presidential" than ever just because he was able to speak without hyperventilating, even though he covered mostly the same broad material he has said for the past 18 months. I found the discussion irrelevant and endemic of why I don't really watch TV news networks. But, to the greater point, I found what the former Governor said more important than who was saying it (even though no one will remember a week from now).
