Just a guess, but probably not so let's just explain it away.

Settlement money from banks, for example, is being funneled to Left-Leaning groups. Pretty neat deal for the Democrats.

It's a cesspool.

I'd love to see the Left get ahead because of great policies, effective leadership, and outstanding stewardship among other things. Instead we get this...

You can read the entire op ed (which is nearly a year old) at alloak's link here: https://www.patrick.net/Justice%27s+Liberal+Slush+Fund

As you'll see, it is a partisan opinion column that presents only one point of view on the matter. Here is another...

Right-Wing Media Falsely Claim That Settlement Payments From Institutions Responsible For The Financial Crisis Create “Liberal Slush Fund” For Progressive Groups

You've decided there is corruption and will not listen to anything to the contrary. What else is there to add?

Nope, not corruption. Maybe in the future they will redirect some of that money from charities to big oil companies and defense contractors to keep you happy though.

DISCLAIMER: Republicans have done plenty of things wrong and they are NOT perfect.

Hate it? It's as reliable as the rising of the sun. Why do you think I started this thread? In the minds of their followers, any corruption or wrongdoing and the Democrat party could never exist in the same sentence. Never. There will always be excuses, such and such did it too, WSJ is biased, witch hunt, evidence was stolen (so therefore meaningless), everybody does it, on and on.....

Anything that helps the Dems gain or retain power is perfectly OK. It could never be based on actual job performance, we all know that.

I'm not pointing any blame solely on Democrats, but rather the whole government. It's a sewer, and that might be an insult to sewers.

That's why the specific non-profits were selected.

Yeah, right. Stop blaming everyone else for not buying into these conservative false narratives that you apparently buy into without questioning them at all, even when someone points you to a different point of view as is the case here. You come off sounding like such a whiny victim and its not very becoming.

As for this: "I'm not pointing any blame solely on Democrats" yeah right that's rubbish. Despite your little disclaimer you are about as one-sided as they come and you NEVER point blame at anyone other than Democrats (or other groups you don't agree with).

Post an example of corruption committed by someone in the GOP that you've had an issue with.

Post an example of where the Right has excelled/demonstrated any of those traits you list in recent years.

Heck, how about that GOP alternative to Obamacare, is that ready yet?

Everyone knows how much you hate liberals and Democrats. We all get it.

The whole thing boils down to people getting involved in their own governance, and that has to be done at the town, state levels before anything else. We cannot just send people to DC and never know what they do there, and Congress has to actually work to get things done, not just use this 'you vote for my bill, I'll vote for yours' and they add on a bunch of other amendments onto a bill that have nothing to do with the original bill just to get it passed. It's gotten waaaay outta hand.

And yet you support Trump who has never done a single thing for anyone unless he could make a profit. Hypocrite.

He does not brag or boast about his piety and the ways he has helped people. He does it quietly, maintaining the dignity of those who were in despair.

Did you post this with a straight face because I got quite the laugh out of it? Trump is one big egomaniac and bragging machine...about all things Trump. There never has been one ounce of dignity when it comes to the "great one".

I will admit Trump is a womanizer if you admit Hillary is as crooked as they come.

There is proof that Trump is a womanizer. After many Republican witch hunts, Hillary has never been charged with anything.

I fully recognize Hillary is corrupt. That does not separate her from the rest of the pack. There's no real insult when someone accuses a politican of being a liar or corrupt. We know this already - tell me something unique about the politician to separate them, and identify them as the wrong choice. Lying and corruption is not enough. Trump has done more than enough to place himself at the far end of the worst we've ever seen.

Trump is the most dishonest corrupt person who has ever run president. Trump has 75 lawsuits awaiting him after the election. Clinton will just have Republican witch hunts that waste taxpayer money.

There is and can be gossip on any candidate. You can focus on gossip or you can focus on governance. The two people who are running for the chance to run the country have different plans and different stands on the issues. That is what matters. Hillary wants to raise the federal minimum wage to $12 per hour. That will help a lot of people if that happens. Trump said that will hurt businesses he is opposed to that. He wants to create more jobs and let the businesses decide for themselves what to pay employees. He believes he can create more jobs than she can.

Trump will protect your second amendment right to keep arms to protect yourself with. Hillary leans more towards disarming Americans. Big difference.

Taxes - Trump will change the tax brackets, in ways that help most of America. I have not seen a detailed plan from Hillary regarding tax reform.

Etc. etc.
