Johnny Musso - the real and ORIGINAL, "Italian Stallion"! Stallone must've heard it and borrowed it.

I met Johnny's dad a few times. He was a furniture restorer - would see him at estate sales and other swap meets. I think Johnny lives in Chicago. He had a son who played at Northwestern.

Luke Appling hits a HR off Warren Spahn at age 75 -- what a feat -- hard to believe it was 33 years ago

Doug Rader slides in hard and knocks Kevin Collins out cold. A huge benches clearing brawl ensued.
The fight got so badly out of control it had to be broken up by Houston police.

Reggie was always up there just to make good contact and hit the ball hard someplace. He would never overswing and that's what made him great.

A great player, but a short-lived candy bar. Reggie said that if he played in New York, they'd name a candy bar after him. I guess he thought the Baby Ruth was named after BABE Ruth (it was actually named after President Grover Cleveland's daughter).

EDDIE RICKENBACKER
Set a record w/134 MPH in 1915 or so -- in 1916, his last year as a racer, made $80,000 -- along w/Barney Oldfield a real pioneer, paving the way........

Stellar -- nope those 1967-68 Cards were top dogs -- most all those players now in the HOF -- their GM in 1967 was Stan The Man, in his 1 year in that capacity -- Tim McCarver had a cup of coffee with us late 1974-early 75 -- personally feel like Gibson and Maris should trade places but a great shot

Only picture I've ever seen of Gibson where I'm not scared of him
