If Perry is found guilty of these charges he deserves to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

I don't think that any responsible person is actually taking this serious. This is the cheapest form of political retribution that I have ever witnessed. A Prosecuting Attorney cannot retain public trust and confidence after a being overwhelmingly convicted of Driving While Intoxicated and at the end of the day this is going to benefit Governor Perry.

she headed up the public integrity unit. a district attorney who spent 45 days in jail for drunk driving doesn't have any integrity. she should resign. if perry has veto power and he used it so be it. it's politics.

Even Axelrod said it was shaky and you don't get much further left than Axelrod.

All Perry did is veto a bill.....Governors do that.

This may sound a little familiar, but it appears he's being prosecuted for doing his job.

Name one where he said he would veto something unless someone quit....... didn't somebody just post that he has very few vetoes? Maybe Rick Perry will start coming to your mind instead.....

Governor Perry could issue a veto if he said Moses told him to at the burning bush. I think you know this case is likely going nowhere.

I am no fan of Rick Perry, and obviously I don't know the ins and outs of Texas law, but this doesn't seem worthy of a criminal indictment to me. It has political motivation written all over it.

So do the Gov's actions in this case...both his action and the reaction sound ethically questionable, if not illegal. Tit for tat and on we go with the finger pointing. SSDD. Fukin politicians.

It would be illegal if Perry required (or Moses offered) any sort of consideration in exchange for doing it.

The threat was wrong and is apparently criminal behavior. All kinds of politicians get power drunk. He screwed up. He should pay the price.

I'm guessing he will be slapped with censure. B. F. D.

Communicating his plans to the public before the fact is not illegal. I he chooses not to fund an organization that would be run by a slobbering drunk that's his call. The Governor did his job.

But the mission is accomplished.

From now till the end of time, it will be pointed out that Rick Perry was "indicted." Even though the case has no merit and goes nowhere, the low-information stooge won't know the difference.

"Texas Governor Rick Perry, who was indicted for blah, blah, blah......" Get ready to hear it 10,000 times.

Once again we see that the ends justify the means for any Progressive causes. Notice I did not say Liberal, because there is a huge difference in my opinion, and Liberals need to wrestle control of their party from the Collectivists that are the composition of the Progressive movement.

As far as this DA is concerned I wouldn't give her a mop job after her actions following her arrest.
