How to debate with a liberal

Good luck with that!

"Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views".

All of three minutes in, the speaker laments the "bully tactic" of the left, saying that the left doesn't want to debate policy, they want to go after you personally.

First comment below the clip...

Ummmm, yeah.

Debating with both liberals and conservatives as of late comes with a somewhat echoing effect, being that most have their heads up their butts. Gives the tunnel vision that real life experience.

Not to mention those who take themselves way to serious and assume that their opinion is any more valid than anyone else..

It wasn't always so. Back in the good ol' days, it was great to watch. Uncovered stadiums, rain or shine, it was a treat. Before rookies made more in a season than many of us make in a lifetime, it was fun.

Remember buying loads of bubble gum to try to get your favorites? The best were hardest to find. I never knew if it was a conspiracy of card makers or dentists -- the bubble bum was about 80% sugar, IIRC.

Baseball park hot dogs were the best. Horrible for your innards and body, but in the mouth they had no equal.

Sigh

I think baseball is still great to watch, and there is still something magical about it. I am at the Ballpark @ 50 games a year, and no matter how tired I am or how much I don't want to go, once I'm there and the people start coming in its still magical. Love the excitement on the faces of the kids. Baseball is still baseball, lawyers are still lawyers, politicians are still politicians. Maybe we and our views are the things that have changed.

Some but if you are referring to this one in all seriousness the level of discourse here is infinitely higher than in the comments sections of many major sites like Yahoo or even the Washington Post or NY Times.

We should worry about what the politicians that people on both sides continue to vote into office are doing to our country. Most citizens could care less as long as their side wins or has the power.

I laugh at rhetoric and B/S coming from both sides. They serve the interests of those that financed the campaign and not those that voted for them. If people fail to see that, then that my friend is something to fear. Regardless of political affiliation, people need to wake up and see what is really going on. At least my ol' lady kisses me before she screws me and my taxes stay the same.
