Woo! Live racin' on last night.

Some of my friends and family played a yahoo fantasy league last year, I played with some members here a couple years ago. We wanted to have more people involved this year so I have asked a few members from here to join the league. If anyone else is interested please contact me. Leafsfan and Fast43 are signed up and a couple other invites were extended. Right now there are 8 people in the league. Send me a pm if you want to play.

It's gonna be a whole different ball game on the super speedway plate tracks this year. See all them wrecks last night?

So many drivers had a legit shot at winning the Shootout, until...

Hate him or like him, you have to admit, Kyle Busch has raw talent. Completely sideways, twice, at 180 + or however fast at the time, car all beat up, pulls that move at the end for the win.

I started following racing just a couple years ago. I told my friends who are much longer fans of the sport that I liked Kyle Bush and they were like "you do?" Hey, all I know is guy is a great driver. I think it was Michael Waltrip who said, 'just ask him he'll tell you that.'

Was ironic last night that as Kyle was pushing Stewart around turn 4 that Tony's crew chief, who was Kyle's crew chief last year, warned Tony about what was about to happen and it still happened. Fun finish, I just wish those guys learned what NOT to do for this week's race. NASCAR shouldn't have to tell them not to push in the corners, they should have learned that enough on their own last night - either that or their owners will tell them. Nobody wants bunches of wrecked cars costing them money.

I don't get the noon start today. I know drivers and teams need to be in Phoenix and set up by Thursday but noon? Thankfully, it's raining and the start time might get pushed back to 6 or 7 tonight, which makes more sense for the millions of people who wouldn't have been able to watch and I'm sure the advertisers like that too.

Did you see Montoya hit that jet dryer? Wow! He was going way to fast with safely equipment on the track, IMO. 200 gallons of jet fuel burning out of control. (We used Kerosene in the jets at work) Lucky no one was seriously hurt.

was pullin' for Junior. I thought he was going to get there teamed up with Biffle. Felt real bad for Danica. Lap 2? Bummer. Not a big Kenseth fan but congrats to him...

If Biffle wasn't a candy ass by staying in line Jr. would have pushed him to victory but he's was afraid Dale would beat him to the line. Go 88!!

Biffle is a putz. Should have jumped on the 88 train. Would have been one of the finishes they talk about 20 years from now. Juniors first win in how many years, at Daytona, etc. etc. etc.

Who likes Kenseth???

Harvick would've caught Hamlin. But I like Denny, good for him.

88 is 5th in points. I'd like to see him win one or two though...

Hamlin would have probably over thought holding off Harvick and might have got overtaken. Hamlin is off to a good start this season. Ran good and agreesive for parts of Daytona, pushed a couple cars to the lead. Qualified good at Phoenix considering going out really early in the draw and then yesterday improved as the race went on ending in the win. That whole Gibbs team seems to be running good right now.

during the pre-recorded interview with Truex yesterday (while he was leading the race) he said they were running strong but just couldn't finish off races.

no kiddin'.

88 got 7th. He's runnin' good but needs to win one...

I don't know what it is, but NASCAR is getting to an all time low of boring to me.

I've been following it steady for about 20 years now, but for some reason, this season is extremely HO - HUM to me.

I'm not one of these fans who only has ONE driver either, I follow and like a whole bunch of cars, its easier to pin down the cars I don't like. I just like good racing, but....

If I miss a race this season, oh well ... and I have not been like that forever with this sport.

It has become generic.

that's a cool opinion and respected...but to me, still, going 200 mph bumper to bumper is pretty cool...but I hear what you're sayin', to a degree.

one example, NASCAR throws the yellow way too often for my liking and it's to tighten the field up for a re-start.
