Tonight's game is HUGE. Beckett coming back, Sox need to win this one or panic will set in. Sox just need to split the series of course. I think the Rays would be happy to take 3 of 4. ____________________ You got to go through hell before you get to heaven. |

Right on the money -- if it's not a solid win tonite, what big Papi talked about a few days ago will set in -- panic -- it had to have started last night but w/the kid out there it was a little in doubt anyway -- Ortiz needs to get healthy & we just gotta jump on Ells/Peds/Youks backs & use this win tonite to jumpstart the last two weeks
The BayRays are Solid -- right there w/Philly/NYY/Sawx when they're going good -- please Beckett, a good outing tonight ... ____________________ "I know y'all came to hear our songs, we like to play 'em for you but without Gregg here it's really hard for us to do. I get the game tonight on the MLB channel. Should be interesting. Tomorrow they are on the Fox game of the week. I will be watching college football so I won't hafta worry about muting Buck and McCarver. ____________________ You got to go through hell before you get to heaven. |

Damn -- I didn't think big Papi would be playing tonight...
it's worrisome about Youk -- he darn well better not have what got Bo Jackson -- no effin "mild pneumonia" would keep him out of the lineup -- but maybe he has to sit out himself now -- we need him in there in a big way though
4-3, better -- go Sawx

Twins fans are loyal but if they drew more than 15-20G, against Seattle, after how they've played the last 2 months...gosh the ownership committed these two gargantuan contracts to Mauer, Morneau, Span -- which they should've at the time -- & now their careers are in question -- definitely Justin -- the fact is, he simply can't make a full effort anymore without being sidelined by headaches/mild migraines/concussion-like symptoms/general injuries -- what a shame for this great, great baseball player -- Justin was burning the league down (.345, 18 HR, 56 RBI), when this concussion thing came along last July -- it's a rotten break
SF at LA, huge -- security is sure to be extra tight -- what about the Cahds makin' a run at Atl...
go Sox -- all we can do is hope the Lackeys, the Weilands, the Bedards etc keep their harm as minimal as possible & we score enough runs to win -- another throwing error for Tek last night -- I love Tek, subpar year for him though -- both offense and defense

hey btw belated happy birthday bro
I say give him the Cy Young and give the MVP to a position player Im thinking Jose Bautista deserves the MVP, now lets see how this wildcard race shapes up and Im hoping the Tigers go into the playoffs riding a winning streak.
Thanks for b-day wishes ____________________

I declared them dead 2 weeks ago but they reeled in 8 straight.
Now officially rest in peace my SF Giants. Kershaw beat them for the fifth time; Atland and St. Louis won. It's over guys - for real. |

From this morning's game report (15 L's outta 16 in the TC)
"Minnesota 1B Justin Morneau had successful surgery Monday to remove a cyst from his knee and a spur from his foot."
Jesus they're even making it sound like a song now
"successful surgery" on a guy who obviously is going down the tubes -- it just goes to show how full of sh!t the mainstream sports media is sometimes -- this latest hospitalization is not related to a baseball injury -- he also had neck and wrist surgery earlier this year
Goddam -- he took an innadvertent knock to the head on a slide into second last July, trotted off the field -- and into invisibility
That's about the size of it Wharf -- we're almost as bad as the Twins right now -- Beckett and Lester have to imitate Spahn and Sain the rest of the way, otherwise it may be no-go -- the div title is out the window obviously...
Yes the Rangers are playing well under pressure from LAA -- they & Brewiz, now that would be a cool WS matchup -- Mil is outplaying Phila ____________________ "I know y'all came to hear our songs, we like to play 'em for you but without Gregg here it's really hard for us to do.
