I was watching the game on FOX with some buds at a local watering hole. We're all watching the game intently and precisely at 6:00 PM they changed over to......
....Seinfeld. |

I think that dude trying to steal second in the bottom of the 19th with Pujols up cost St. Lewy...
I was thinking about this some more because I wondered if LaRussa sent him. It was a no win situation. If he steals the base, the Mets walk Pujols. I'd rather have Pujols hitting with a guy on first than Holliday hitting with a guy on second.
that was odd as it all but took the bat out of Pujols' hands ____________________

That's a great point, Otie. The only mistake the runner made was getting caught. ____________________

Agreed. They were smart enough to let Andruw Jones go but Glaus was a bad decision. |

Great bunt he laid down! |

If I'm playing first and he comes up with the bases empty, I'm probably playing real DEEP. ____________________

Nine steals in five innings
with Jason Varitek sitting on the bench -- yes Wake's knuckler is easy to steal on but it was never like this -- we're dead last in catching runners stealing -- Victor Martinez is a good player but even his three hits tonite don't make up for that -- Get Varitek Back In There, Please -- they never ran wild on Wake like this when Mirabelli was around
Tito, rectify please -- & while you're at it, start platooning Lowell w/Big Papi -- I love Big Papi, but we're headed for the cellar & Something's Gotta Be Done ____________________ "I know y'all came to hear our songs, we like to play 'em for you but without Gregg here it's really hard for us to do. Just wow. Jason Heyward might contend for the MVP this year. I have done my best to remember that the kid is 20 years old and not expect too much, but he is already the best player on his team. :chop: ____________________ The heavens declare the glory of God
