I read in the most recent issue of Hittin' The Note that Chuck has released an instructional dvd on piano techniques. I play the guitar but would like to learn the piano. I understand that this is not a beginner dvd per se, but since Chuck covers playing a couple of my favorite songs "Jessica" and "Ashokan Farewell" from his cd "Forever Blue", I thought it would be interesting to get.

Just wondering if anyone has bought it yet and what they think of it.

Yup, I ordered it the day it was available on his site. If you are a beginning player, it might be a bit advanced. There are some great camera angle shots of Chuck playing, and if I do say so myself, was pleased to find out that I've been playing Jessica correctly for all these years! Chuck Rules!

how is it? I ordered my copy. It costs the same as a piano lesson. I hope to learn as much as I would from a piano/organ lesson.

I absolutely love this thing. I have only been playing a little over a year and it is a wealth of info I am anxious to grow into for a long time (I can play chucks of Jessica) and he is a great teacher.

I have been thinking of taking up piano again after years of not playing due to raising kids. This is just what I need. I love Chucks melodic playing and would love to model my playing after him.

Iím all about instrument instruction videos lately on here. Sorry. I figured Iíd revive this thread and ask if anyone has practiced this one? Iíve looked at a video on his site and learned a scale that he uses but Iím a beginner and Iím sure the DVD is advanced. Iím thinking of getting it just to nibble on the edges.
I got that signed pic thatís on his site. I know itís surely an auto print but itís going to look good in my jam room.
