Gosh, not since Yoan Moncada has someone come with such rave reviews
& he ain't even a playah

instead, he's "Prized Hitting Guru" Robert Van Scoyoc
...who, with his "cutting-edge hitting instruction" is set to impart his wisdom on the LA Dodgers in 2019

they'll gather around the messiah next spring, and the skies above their spring training facility will part as he "preaches the importance of launch angle...a more athletic stance....keeping swing paths through the strike zone as long as possible, and lifting the ball in the air..."

as the "hitting strategist" for the AZ D-backs in 2018, the great Mr. VS "provided individualized, data-centric strategies on how to attack opposing pitchers."

this wildly enthusiastic espn article also said LA has hired a "game-planning coach"

It's such horse **** -- all this nerdy new-age hi-tech jargon/lingo/baloney will count for zero up against a high hard one or a nasty slider on the black

coming next to MLB dugouts, software for computer coaches to stream live-time data into the computer, to aid in upcoming at bats

I still like the competition between the lines, & of course, Ya Sawx, watta year

this other **** ? hitting strategists AND hitting coaches, not to mention assistants for both?? Game-planning coaches to go along w/fielding coaches, bench coaches And the manager???

Messers. Doubleday & Cartwright would be doubled over, also doing cartwheels in their graves at what's become of the game they invented -- it's been overmanaged, over-administrated, over-financed beyond recognition, on the field and off

So Harold Baines gets in The Hall. Great guy, very good player. So are they wanting us to believe as a point of comparison he was better than Dale Murphy, Lou Whitaker and Mattingly who are not in? Same era. They were way better than Baines.

So BoSox fans, I read that the Sux are taking offers for Porcello, Bogaerts and Bradley Jr.

Interesting...
