I'm sure HRC is happy to see this...

Obama approval hits new high
By Jennifer Agiesta, CNN Polling Director
Updated 6:00 AM ET, Thu October 6, 2016

(CNN) - President Barack Obama's approval rating stands at 55% in a new CNN/ORC poll, the highest mark of his second term, and matching his best at any time since his first year in office.

The new rating outpaces his previous second-term high -- reached just after a Democratic convention that extolled the successes of his presidency -- by one point, and hits a level he's reached just twice since the end of his first year in office: In January 2013 just before his second inauguration and in January 2011.

The new poll continues a streak in which Obama's approval rating has been at 50% or higher in CNN/ORC polls since February, a seven month run that is his longest since 2009. And taken together, Obama's approval ratings in 2016 average 51% so far in CNN/ORC polls, his best mark since that first year in office.

People looking at the campaigns are starting to realize that this is as good as it's going to get for a while. Approval is a relative concept.

Maybe Hillary can start cashing in on Obama's vast popularity and put this thing to bed....As it stands now, seemingly her only plan for the future is that Trump sucks and is a horrible person.

So you would say that the details released of Trump's "policy issues" exceed HC's to date? That would be laughable. Trumps's policy - everything he discusses has a common theme. He way overuses the words "disaster" and "the worst" in describing existing situations and people.

alloak - Trump the "horrible person"- women are pigs, dogs, fat, talk of rapists, Ms. Housekeeping, mocking the disabled, etc.? Name the last presidential candidate that acted like & behaved like Trump. Maybe that's part of the reason the likes of Ryan and McConnell aren't out on the trail campaigning for this decent and respectful fellow "conservative".

1. Which one doesn't? If you're a challenger, painting a rosy picture of current conditions is not usually viewed as a pathway to victory.

2. Nice dodge. Why not run on Obama's vast list of accomplishments it you're the Clinton campaign? Aren't voters "turned off" by negativity?

I guess not. She's so far ahead in this thing she's got it in the bag.

Trump voters love negativity and being amped up at his rallies yelling disgusting things. His followers attack people in the crowds at his rallies. He brings out the worst in them. Trump offering to pay legal bills is a highly postitive thing? Using stupid nicknames for his primary and GE competitors is pretty childish, but you would consider this also a positive?.

He answered your question. I guess either you have nothing or his answer went right by you. Or both.
