Not a bad game to kick off the season. I didn't think Denver's new QB would be that solid, especially for a 4th quarter comeback (I flipped to the even more dramatic Yankee game). But then again, mush-mouthed corporate shill pHGHtn Manning didn't have much impact on their Super Bowl win so this is already a step up. Those Cam head shots were pretty nuts though.

Here are my picks for this weekend, first weekend is always the most interesting:

Green Bay Jacksonville (GB)
Buffalo Baltimore (Buffalo)
Chicago Houston (Houston)
Cleveland Philadelphia (Philly)
Tampa Bay Atlanta (Atlanta)
Minnesota Tennessee (Minn)
Cincinnati New York Jets (Cincy)
Oakland New Orleans (Oakland)
San Diego Kansas City (KC)
Miami Seattle (Seattle)
Detroit Indianapolis (Indy)
New York Giants Dallas (Dallas)
New England Arizona (Ariz)
Pittsburgh Washington (Pitt)
Los Angeles Rams San Francisco (LA)

Per @AdamSchefter, and as earlier reported by @MarkDanielsPJ, Rob Gronkowski did not make the trip to Arizona. Gronkowski will not play.

Anyone have any predictions for the team you are a fan of? Super Bowl?

Indy will be lucky to finish 8-8,just from the preseason play, injuries, the o lines performance and lack of play makers. Hope I am wrong....

A far as the Super Bowl.....I will say Green Bay v. Pittsburgh. Denver still might be a player having to depend on their "D".

I agree with your assessment. It is really tough to predict. I do like Denver. And can you really ever rule out the damn Patriots?

Was bummed to find out the safety at the end of the Lions game didn't screw over any gamblers. Being 1-0 is nice.

A lot of close games this past weekend.

I bet the people of St Louis are having a hardy laugh this morning.
Getting shut out by the 49ers . Ouch!! The Rams gave away all of those draft picks and they're number one is on the bench.

Thank may be the most pitiful offensive performance I have ever seen from an NFL team last night. The LA Rams, whoa....they SUCKED!

Great opening day of the NFL, glad it's back. I went 9-7 for my picks (I didn't pick Denver to win either), which isn't horrible for the first weekend. Always going to be some surprises and close games that could have gone either way. A few quick thoughts:

- Either Indy still has some cobwebs or Detroit might actually have some fire this season. Indy just let Detroit march right back down the field after taking the lead with :40 to go, even with receivers staying in bounds.

- Dallas's new QB looks solid, Romo may be next season's Matt Hasselback: a holding the clipboard in Tennessee or Indy.

- Packers got a messy win in Jacksonville, their defense stepped up. These are the kinds of wins you like to see against really good teams, time will tell if the Jaguars have made any steps forward. As usual, the AFC South is anyone's to take. Looking forward to watching the Packers throttle the Vikings this Sunday night.

- Are Arizona and Carolina slumping after being the top of the NFC last season?

- The Bears. Still. Suck.

My picks this week:

New York Jets Buffalo (Jets)
Cincinnati Pittsburgh (Pitt)
Tennessee Detroit (Detroit)
Baltimore Cleveland (Baltimore)
Dallas Washington (Dallas)
New Orleans New York (Giants)
San Francisco Carolina (SF)
Miami New England (NE)
Kansas City Houston (Houston)
Seattle Los Angeles (Seattle)
Tampa Bay Arizona (TB)
Jacksonville San Diego (Jacksonville)
Atlanta Oakland (Oak)
Indianapolis Denver (Denver)
Green Bay Minnesota (GB)
Philadelphia Chicago (Philly)

Here's some big news, Nike has solved the Color Rush issue for their color blind fans by......removing the color! Here's the Packers' color rush jersey - can you feel the rush!?

Maybe they should just scrap this whole horrible idea. Actually, I'm glad the Packers didn't go crazy as some teams do, this is essentially their away uniform with white pants. The Packers (as well as most of the old NFL franchises - Steelers, Bears, Giants, etc) are well-branded and don't need to look like a Nike stain.

I thought Todd Bowles and Rex Ryan were known for defense! Who would've guessed those teams would combine for 68 pts and almost 900 yards of offense!

Unreal! Sounds like he's the fall guy. I think most NFL teams expect to win when they score 31 points, which the Bills did last night. I thought they'd win and that their defense would be able to keep Fitzy in check (or he'd implode on his own) and they'd win a low scoring game. Boy was I wrong...they made Fitzy look like Elway, Montana, Unitas and Brady all rolled into one. But yeah, let's fire the OC. That's Sexy Rexy for ya!

I actually felt bad for the Bills when they hired Rex Ryan. Marrone seemed to have them going in the right direction after years of mediocrity, but they managed to run him out of town. Ryan, or I should say, the RyanS, are a circus act.

Anyways, I went 9-7 in my picks for the 2nd week in a row. I guess I counted out the Cardinals and gave the 49ers too much credit. And who'd have thunk the Rams surprising a rusty Seahawks squad?

I'm bummed the Packers couldn't ruin the Vikings' house warming, but not too surprised with how creaky their offense still looks. Packers fans mostly thought it was the loss of Jordy Nelson that caused the offense to suffer last season, but they need to get their rhythm back to their old form.

Also, why wasn't Adrian Peterson carted off the field and instead carried through the stadium bar? That blew me away more than anything this past weekend.

It seems to me that Green Bay, to one extent or another, has always had OL issues. Several years ago it was downright bad. It sure looked bad Sunday as well. The Minn front 7 looks pretty stout, the secondary, especially the CBs that were playing looked pretty suspect...which is ironic that one of them effectively ended the game jumping Nelson for that INT. The rhythm with Nelson is one thing, but all those other guys were there and played with Rogers last year...looks like the OL is the main liability.

I too thought it was very very strange that they took Peterson through the main tunnel to the locker room, which happens to go through the bar. I'm sure he hated that, embarrassing for him. But I don;t know the logistics of that stadium and what other ways there are to get to the locker room.

Miami's no show was a shock, not that they lost, but how poorly they started the game. However, in light of Seattle's O in LA, maybe the good showing Miami had in Seattle was misleading.

The Bears still suck. Cutler has to be one of the worst QBs in the league year in and year out. Glad I am not a Bears fan...I;m not really a fan of any team so easy for me to pick on others.
