All the shows are great, but I always see the best ones in Pittsburgh. It must be because they have the largest and most electric crowds I see of the venues I go to. I went to the Pitt. show last year after a decade break of not seeing the ABB, but now I'm hooked like a fish. Anyway, this was a great showin spite of its relative shortness-2 hours and 15 minutes. It was what they did with the time that mattered. It was good to hear "Come on in my Kitchen" and "Good Clean Fun" again. Of course the old standards sounded great:"Dreams, "Statesboro Blues", "Don't keep Me Wondering", "Midnight Rider", etc. This was their first show I saw stone sober, and I gotta tell ya, they'll all be that way from now on. You miss so much when you're highly intoxicated. It must be Gregg's influence on me. Of course, as usual, I met wonderful people at the show. The fella next to me hadn't seen them since 1979 and was just blown away. Rest assured he'll be there next year, as I will be.
